Basic-Fit regularly offers a referral program that rewards its existing members when they invite someone close to sign up. The mechanism relies on a personal link generated from the app, which the referrer sends to their referee. The referee must subscribe to a one-year commitment for the referral to be validated.
What the referrer really gains (and what the referee does not gain)
Most pages that describe the Basic-Fit referral program focus on the rewards for the referrer. They are right: that’s where the main advantage lies. The referrer receives a 10 euro NXT Level voucher for each referee they refer. This voucher can be used in the brand’s online store for fitness equipment or accessories.
By accumulating several referrals, the referrer can also unlock a Smart Bike. Feedback varies on the exact number of referees required to access it, but the official page mentions two validated referrals as the threshold.
On the referee’s side, the situation is less generous. The referral itself does not trigger any discount on the subscription. The referee pays the standard rate. To take advantage of the Basic Fit referral offer while reducing the bill, they must combine the referral link with an active welcome offer at the time of registration.

Combining referral and Basic-Fit welcome offer: the real discount
The general terms of Basic-Fit provide for an automatic welcome offer for any subscription to an annual contract. This offer takes one of the following three forms:
- Two free weeks, which effectively postpones the start of billing without additional costs
- First contribution period charged at a reduced rate compared to the normal subscription price
- Free Flex option, which normally allows cancellation without fees before the end of the commitment
The point that most referral guides overlook: these welcome offers are compatible with the referral process. A new member can register via their referrer’s link and simultaneously benefit from one of these three offers, provided they choose a subscription with a one-year commitment.
The most interesting combination for the referee remains the two free weeks. It effectively reduces the cost during the first weeks of training, without altering the contract terms thereafter.
Referral validation conditions: the 20-day delay
The referral is not validated at the moment the referee signs up. The general terms impose a minimum delay of 20 days of active membership before the referrer’s reward is credited. This delay serves as a safeguard against registrations followed by immediate withdrawal.
Specifically, if the referee exercises their right of withdrawal within 14 days of signing up, the referral is canceled. The referrer receives neither a voucher nor points towards the Smart Bike. The referee, on the other hand, recovers their fees according to the standard withdrawal conditions.
The referral link and the app
The personal link is generated from the Basic-Fit app, in the section dedicated to referrals. Each member has a unique link. The referee must use this link for the system to record the referrer-referee relationship.
A referee who signs up directly on the website or in the club, without using the link, does not trigger any reward. No retroactive adjustment is provided if the link was not used during registration. This point regularly generates frustrations on forums, where members discover too late that their referral has not been counted.

Basic-Fit promo codes and referrals: two distinct channels
The promo codes circulating on deal sites (Dealabs, iGraal, among others) are not linked to the referral program. These are one-time promotional offers, sometimes combined with cashback, that apply directly at registration.
The distinction is important: a promo code can offer a discount on the first weeks or an accessory, but it does not generate an NXT Level voucher for a referrer. Conversely, the referral link does not provide any direct discount to the referee beyond the standard welcome offer.
The two channels are not always compatible with each other. The available data does not allow for a definitive conclusion on whether an external promo code can be applied simultaneously with a referral link during the same registration. Feedback varies on this point, and Basic-Fit does not officially communicate on this compatibility.
Basic-Fit annual subscription: the only eligible plan for referrals
The referral only works with a subscription that includes a one-year commitment. Plans without commitment or day passes do not trigger the mechanism.
Basic-Fit offers several subscription levels, from Comfort to Premium, with varying access (number of clubs, online classes, access to specific areas). The choice of subscription level does not affect eligibility for referrals, as long as the annual commitment is present.
For a referee who is hesitating between commitment and no commitment, the calculation deserves to be made. The annual commitment grants access to welcome offers and allows the referrer to be rewarded. The apparent extra cost of the commitment is often offset by the free weeks or the reduced rate of the first period.
The Basic-Fit referral program remains primarily a loyalty tool aimed at the referrer. The referee, on the other hand, mainly benefits from the welcome offer associated with the annual subscription, not from the referral itself. Keeping this distinction in mind avoids disappointments at the time of registration.
